I would like to invite you to kindly register and attend Three Day National Workshop :Q-CISM-2009: On “Futuristic trends of Quality Control in Information Security Management” to be held during October 09-11, 2009 organized by Forum for Interdisciplinary Sciences and Application (FiDAS), Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, (University of Delhi), Shivaji Marg, Karampura, New Delhi-110015, India. The workshop is Sponsored by: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research(CSIR), Govt of India.

Theme of the Workshop

In order to understand and to keep pace with the latest developments in the field of Electronics and IT industry, the life-lines of the present and future generation one should take the philosophy and basic concept of Mathematics and its application as quality improvement. Quality always has been an integral part of virtually all products and services. The purpose of this workshop is to explore and give an insight to the latest trends of quality control and management, the internationally acknowledged standards for information security. The objective is to provide a medium to young scholars and inspire them to be skilled and empowered to take up challenging careers in the areas of Quality Management Standards and Models, ISO 9000: 2008 Quality Management, Information Security Management, Quality in IT Service Delivery, Website Quality, Measuring Software Product Quality, Software Testing and Quality Assurance, Six Sigma Overview, Reliability Concepts, MTBF and Reliability Estimation.

 

Topics for the workshop

 

Technical session-I : Quality Management Standards and Models : ISO, IEEE, IEC, BS, CMM/CMMI etc. covering aspects like Quality, QA, Quality Management, TQM, Standards, Types of Standards, Quality Management Standards; Software Quality Standards, IEEE, CMM/CMMI standards/ Models etc. 

Technical session-II : ISO 9000: 2008 Quality Management  covering basics of Quality, Quality Management, ISO 9000 standards, its overview and its importance in Manufacturing, Service or education sector. A brief introduction to ISO 90003 for Software, CMM/CMMI 

Technical session-III : Information Security Management: Overview, Its need, ISO 27001 standards, Brief Implementation aspects Information Security Polices including Policies for Users 

Technical session-IV : IT Service management: Quality in IT Service Delivery (IT Service management/ ITIL): Overview of the subject and the ISO 20000 standards;  Quality in e-Governance, Service level Agreements (SLA) 

Technical session-V : Website Quality: Overview, Defining and Measuring Website Quality 

Technical session-VI : Software Testing and Quality Assurance: Measuring Software Product Quality 

Technical session-VII : Six Sigma Overview

Technical session-VIII : Statistical Process Control: Reliability Concepts, MTBF, Reliability Estimation, Sampling by  Attributes
