Hi,
I was after some information on the control of lasers. I was wanting to
construct a vector display using a laser so it could be diplayed on a wall or
in mid air. This would be similar to the out put of a cro (x-y) being fed
into the device. Would it be possible to defelct the laser fast enought to
produce a lookable display?
I'm not an electrical engineering person but any help would be of use.
Thanks for any help,
Daniel.

Sure. Use a vibrating mirror. I think here are several such arrangements
available commercially. A good place to start looking is at your nearest
planetarium. They frequently project lasers on their screens as part of the
show.

I would suggest to use lasers with angular moving mirrors. The rotation
is done with servo-motors which can be controlled with an analogue
voltage. These type of lasers are frequently used in laser shows
(like in disco's). The produce pictures on the wall but even in the open
air if you like.

We sell laser controllers and our cpus are very fast and could do this. Email me for more info, we are US based and ship worldwide.
