Will,

This seems like something I am greatly interested in. If anyone else is interested let me know and maybe we can try to make something. Will would you be interested in helping me design it or anything?

I'll make the same offer to you that I did to Mike. I'll help when and where I can but I won't have the time to dedicate myself to projects.
Designing and building this is actually really easy. Go to troussin.com (I think that's it) and they have a forum for this. They all but have a step by step guide to building one.
The problem comes in that these parts are expensive, and programming/ debugging takes a lot of time. I don't think we'll spend as much on this as we did on 'Snuffles' but it'll be close.
The easiest IMO, is a 4 or 6 legged chassis as its more stable than the bipeds. The guns are just modified airsoft guns, webcams, and xbee wireless controls.
