Please find attached the monthly membership development report for October 2013.

The 'MD Monthly' report provides membership statistics, and information about the people and programs of membership development.

This report is published monthly on behalf of the IEEE Member and Geographic Activities Board, and is distributed to Region and Society MD officers, as well as other interested IEEE volunteers and staff.

This month's highlights:

>>Total IEEE membership is down 274 members, or -0.1% YoY

>>Total Society memberships are up 4,826, or +1.4% YoY

>>IEEE Day and IEEEXtreme 7.0

In addition to being attached to this e-mail, this 'MD Monthly' will be available online soon. Several years of archived editions can also be found at: http://www.ieee.org/web/volunteers/membership_dev/md_reports.html. This is a secure web site and an IEEE Account is required to gain access.
