IEEE Elections for 2016-2017 Academic Year

Dear Members,

IEEE@CCNY will be hosting the elections for all E-Board positions for the 2016-2017 academic year on Thursday April 14th from 12:15pm - 1:45pm in Steinman 2M5-2. The available positions are President, Internal Vice-President, External Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Webmaster. The requirements for candidacy and responsibilities for each position are listed below.

Requirements for Candidacy

• Anyone that is an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering full-time student with at least a 2.5 GPA can apply
• Candidates for the position of President must have previously held an executive board position either in IEEE or in another club.

Officer Responsibilities

President 

• Delegates responsibilities
• Collaborates with other clubs to maximize budget and exposure
  

External VP 

• Attends IEEE affininty groups
• Solicits tours and non faculty speakers
• Responsible for FE exam prep
  

Internal VP

• Organizes faculty colloquia
• Runs collaboration events
• Responsible for research placement
  

Treasurer

• Manages AEC and USG budget, as well as other sources of funding
• Manages receipts and reimbursement
  

Secretary

• Records meeting minutes
• Tracks USG deadlines and paperwork
  

Webmaster

• Maintains IEEE website
• Maintains IEEE Twitter and Facebook accounts
• Maintains email list
  

If you would like to apply for a position, you must email ieee...@gmail.com,  what position you would like to be a candidate for, and a one-paragraph description of why you would want that position by April 12th. Refreshments will be served. Invite your friends so they can vote for you. Also prepare a speech to present during the elections.
