Dear Members,
IEEE@CCNY will be hosting the elections for all E-Board positions for the 2017-2018 academic year on Tuesday April 4th from 1:00pm-2:00pm in Steinman 2M13 (the Couch Room). The available positions are President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Webmaster. The requirements for candidacy and responsibilities for each position are listed below.
Requirements for Candidacy
- Anyone that is an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering full-time student with at least a 2.5 GPA can apply
- Candidates for the position of President must have previously held an executive board position either in IEEE or in another club.
Officer Responsibilities
President
- Presides over all executive board meetings
- Delegates responsibilities
- Coordinates with other clubs to maximize budget and exposure
Vice-President
- Organizes and attends IEEE events
- Manages membership data (i.e. event attendance)
- Assists the President as necessary
Treasurer
- Manages AEC and USG budget, as well as other sources of funding
- Manages receipts and reimbursement
Secretary
- Records meeting minutes
- Tracks deadlines and paperwork
Webmaster
- Maintains IEEE website and social media
- Maintains email list
If you would like to apply for a position, you must email ieee...@gmail.com, what position you would like to be a candidate for, and a one-paragraph description of why you would want that position by Monday April 3rd at 5:00pm. Invite your friends so they can vote for you! Also prepare a short speech (no longer than 2 minutes) to present during the elections.
Even if you are not running for a position, we still encourage you to attend because, well, we need people to vote!
