So far I haven’t gotten any responses, so unless some content comes in by Friday, it looks like we’ll be doing a postcard to announce the picnic.

 

Also, I’ll be moving to Portland in about a month, so we should try to find some to step in as newsletter chair.

Hello IEEE members,

 

It’s that time of year again!  Randy Wolff, acting chair, is planning the annual picnic for September 7^th.  It takes 2-3 weeks for the newsletter to get to the members once it’s gone to the printer.  So, if you could get any articles and/or announcements to me by August 10^th, that should be enough time to get the newsletter out with notice of the picnic.

I'm back in town so I'll be available to resume my responsibilities (gradually). Thank you all for helping Randy out and special thanks to Randy (of course).

Shane, I'm sad to hear that you are leaving but I wish you the best. You have done a tremendous job as you have covered various duties in the Boise Section and more notably as newsletter chair. In addition to the picnic announcement please mention the need for your replacement. Shane, there will always be a place for you in our organization and please stay in touch (email is free).

Before the announcement is made, is any of you (ieee-...@googlegroups.com) interested in becoming the next Newsletter Chair?

Welcome back. FYI: I leave Sept 16th. 2 weeks in Brazil, 4 days in
Boise, 10 months in Germany (& Europe).You need to take action on
filling my position soon too. I had suggested to Randy holding an OPCOM
meeting, but he wanted to wait until you returned (I thought you would
be gone longer). Also make sure to get the planning for the February
banquet done sooner rather than later. I know how easy it is to forget.
