Abstract: Servant Leadership and the 3-H model (Head, Hands, Heart) of holistic leadership are the focus of the lecture. A holistic leader is where a healthy head, hands, and heart converge. Leadership is from within and must be authentic. Use of specific praise is a legitimate human need and is essential to healthy relationships. Catch your employees doing something “right” and recognition will produce positive habits. To lead you must serve which is the core foundation for servant leadership.
About the invited speaker: Lynn Seibold is the Fab1 Production Manager at Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, ID. Lynn is an Idaho Native who started his career at Micron as an entry level operator in 1988 and went on to hold several leadership positions including a 1 year expatriate assignment to Singapore. Most notably in 2006 Lynn had 1700 employees reporting to him. He holds a B.A. Management and Organizational Leadership, from George Fox University, Newberg, OR, and an M.B.A. from George Fox University, Newberg, OR. Aside from the fact that Lynn Seibold has extensive leadership experience, he is also a very eloquent speaker. I am sure you would find his presentation enjoyable and insightful.
