Hello everyone,

This is a reminder that Saturday starting 8am in MEC 307 we will be
having the Area meeting for IEEE. IEEE is divided into 10 regions for
the whole world. We are in Region 6, western US. That region is
divided into areas, our (north east Region 6) includes Boise, E Idaho,
3 Montana sections and the 1 Utah section.

The schedule (at this moment, there has been a request for change) is
8am: coffee and snacks
8:30 or 9am start business meeting
11:30 or 12: lunch
1:00 micro mouse contest
2:00 student paper contest (the change request is to move this to the AM)

I'd like to request two things:

1) If you plan to come to the meeting please let me know. Even if it
is a "maybe I'll come." I need to know how much breakfast stuff to
buy, and how many lunches to order. It is also good to know
approximately who might pop their head in. This is a good way to see
what things other sections do, and get ideas for our section, so
please come.

2) If you are available for about 1 hour in the afternoon, (and for 1
hour prep time before the meeting) and if you don't have a strong
affiliation with BSU (as we will have an entry), would you be willing
to be a judge for the student paper contest that day?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks,
- Elisa

We will need judges for the paper contest
Ideally the judges would be from organizAtion that are not entering a paper

It would also be desireable to give the papers to the judges in
advance of the meeting

Last year we had a few people judge who were visiting from r6 leonard bond

Is he coming this year?

Elisa,

Both Michele and I will be out of town on Saturday and won't be able to
take micromouse photos. Do you want to use our office camera that day to
take any pictures?

Also, did you get rid of all the plants or do you want another reminder
in today's Online News?

Just let me know. I'll talk to you soon,

Margaret
