August Meeting Next Thursday

We're back!

After a brief hiatus, we'll be holding our August meeting next
Thursday, the 19th, with food and networking starting at 6:15, and our
presentation beginning at 7:00.

This month, our speaker is the illustrious Mike Brunt:

Mike is one of the world's foremost authorities on ColdFusion server
performance and tuning, and he'll be talking about using caching to
increase performance. If want to learn about practical techniques you
can use to speed up your site or application, this is the session for
you!

As always, please respond to this thread if you think you might
attend, as I'll be submitting a list of names for parking permit
exemptions on Monday.

Man, it's mine and my wife's 15th wedding anniversary this Thursday. I had sent a tex message to my wife that I was planning to go to this meeting on Thursday when she quickly reminded me that it is our anniversay. Okay, I will try to go to next month's meeting.

 

Does anyone else go through these types of things? See y'all next month.

Well, as I indicated, we didn't use Connect at all (and actually,
Mike's talk wasn't very conducive to that anyway). That said, he had a
small digital video camera with him, and Rex took some footage that I
think might make it up to YouTube.

Rex, do you suppose you could post links to this list if/when any of
the video from the meeting gets posted?
