Nof Zion - Jabel Mukaber Interfaith Encounter group- 2 encounters

The group of Muslims from Jabel Mukaber and Jews from Nof Zion met at the Yakar Center. The topic of discussion was the giving of the Torah in Judaism. The Jewish participants told us about the giving of the Torah, especially as it is a holy book revealed to the prophet Moses.

 

One participant explained that the Torah was given to Moses on Mount Sinai after the Israelites left Egypt, in an event specific to the Israelites. Another participant explained that he believes that God spoke to Moses and gave him the tablets on which the Ten Commandments were written. Moses then received the rest of the Torah, which regulates the religious and social life of the people. The giving of the Torah is seen as a covenant between God and the Israelites, and as the basis of Jewish religious and moral identity.

 

The Muslim participants were surprised by some of the details and told us that according to the Quran, God revealed the Torah to Moses on tablets on Mount Sinai, a book containing guidance and light for the Israelites. It contained the commandments and laws that guided their lives, and Moses received the revelation directly from God.

 

This similarity in the two narratives between Muslims and Jews creates common ground for dialogue and offers hope for building deeper understanding and mutual trust between the two sides.

The group of Muslims from Jabal al-Mukabber and Jews from Nof Zion met in Jerusalem. The encounter focused on Hanukkah, its meanings and customs associated with it, and in particular the sweets prepared and eaten during the holiday. One of the participants began by explaining the reason for the name of the holiday, “Hanukkah,” while clarifying its historical and religious background, and then moved on to discuss the rituals and folk customs associated with the celebration.

 

He paused for a moment to discuss the holiday sweet known as Sufgania, a pastry similar to donut but unique in that it is a fried cake, usually filled with jam. He explained that eating fried foods during Hanukkah symbolizes the miracle of oil associated with the holiday.

 

In turn, the Muslim participants shared their holiday traditions, discussing Maamoul as a staple sweet for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Maamoul is a semolina-based pastry filled with dates or walnuts, and is considered a symbol of celebration and family gatherings during Islamic holidays.

 

The encounter concluded with the sharing of personal impressions and experiences from the holidays and a comparison of dessert traditions in the two cultures. This fostered a warm and open dialogue, highlighting similarities and reinforcing the values ​​of mutual respect and human connection among the participants.

קבוצת המפגש הבין דתי של נוף ציון- ג'בל מוכבר- 2 מפגשים

קבוצת המוסלמים מג'בל מוכבר והיהודים מנוף ציון נפגשו במרכז יקר. נושא הדיון היה מתן תורה ביהדות. המשתתפים היהודים סיפרו לנו על מתן התורה, הספר הקדוש שנגלה לנביא משה.

 

משתתף אחד הסביר שהתורה ניתנה למשה בהר סיני לאחר יציאת בני ישראל ממצרים, באירוע ספציפי לבני ישראל. משתתף אחר הסביר שהוא מאמין שאלוהים דיבר עם משה ונתן לו את הלוחות שעליהם נכתבו עשרת הדיברות. לאחר מכן קיבל משה את שאר התורה, המסדירה את חיי הדת והחברה של העם. מתן התורה נתפס כברית בין אלוהים לבני ישראל, וכבסיס לזהות הדתית והמוסרית היהודית.

 

המשתתפים המוסלמים הופתעו מחלק מהפרטים וסיפרו לנו שעל פי הקוראן, אלוהים גילה את התורה למשה על לוחות בהר סיני, ספר המכיל הדרכה ואור לבני ישראל. הוא הכיל את המצוות והחוקים שהנחו את חייהם, ומשה קיבל את ההתגלות ישירות מאלוהים.

 

דמיון זה בשני הנרטיבים מקרב מוסלמים ויהודים זה לזה, יוצר קרקע משותפת לדיאלוג ומציע תקווה לבניית הבנה עמוקה יותר ואמון הדדי בין שני הצדדים.

הקבוצה של מוסלמים מג'בל אל-מוכבר ויהודים מנוף ציון נפגשה בירושלים. המפגש התמקד בחנוכה, במשמעויותיו ובמנהגים הקשורים אליו, ובמיוחד בממתקים הנאכלים במהלך החג. אחד המשתתפים פתח בהסבר הסיבה לשם החג, "חנוכה", תוך הבהרת הרקע ההיסטורי והדתי שלו, ולאחר מכן עבר לדון בטקסים ובמנהגים העממיים הקשורים לחגיגה.

 

הוא עצר לרגע כדי לדון בממתק החג המכונה סופניה, מאפה הדומה לדונאט אך ייחודי בכך שהוא עוגה מטוגנת, בדרך כלל ממולאת בריבה. הוא הסביר שאכילת מאכלים מטוגנים במהלך חנוכה מסמלת את נס השמן הקשור לחג.

 

בתורם, המשתתפים המוסלמים שיתפו את מסורות החג שלהם, ודנו במעמול כממתק עיקרי לעיד אל-פיטר ועיד אל-אדחא. מעמול הוא מאפה על בסיס סולת ממולא בתמרים או אגוזי מלך, והוא נחשב לסמל לחגיגה ולמפגשים משפחתיים במהלך חגים אסלאמיים.

 

המפגש הסתיים בשיתוף רשמים וחוויות אישיות מהחגים ובהשוואה בין מסורות קינוחים בשתי התרבויות. הדבר טיפח דיאלוג חם ופתוח, תוך הדגשת קווי דמיון וחיזוק ערכי הכבוד ההדדי והקשר האנושי בין המשתתפים.

اللقاء بين الديانات لمجموعة نوف تصيون وجبل المكبر - لقاءان

اجتمعت المجموعة معًا مسلمين من جبل المكبر ويهود من نوف تصيون  في مركز يكار، وكان موضوع اللقاء هو نزول التوراة لدى اليهود. فقد أخبرنا المشاركون اليهود عن  نزول التوراة، وخاصة أنها كتاب مقدّس نزل على النبي موسى.
فاخبرنا احد المشاركين عن  التوراة  التي نزلت على موسى على جبل سيناء بعد خروج بني إسرائيل من مصر، في حدث خاص ببني اسرآئيل  وكما اخبرنا اخر  انهم يؤمنون أن الله كلّم موسى وأعطاه الألواح التي نُقشت عليها الوصايا العشر، ثم تلقّى موسى بقيّة الشريعة التي تنظّم حياة الشعب الدينية والاجتماعية. ويُنظر إلى نزول التوراة كعهد بين الله وبني إسرائيل، وكأساس للهوية الدينية والأخلاقية لليهود.

فتعجّب المشاركون المسلمون من بعض التفاصيل، وأخبرونا حسب القرآن أن الله أنزل التوراة على موسى كذلك في الألواح عند طور سيناء، كتابًا فيه هدى ونور لبني إسرائيل، وذكرت فيه الوصايا والتشريعات التي وجّهت حياتهم، وأن موسى تلقّى الوحي مباشرة من الله.

فهذا التشابه في الروايتين يُقرّب المسلمين واليهود معًا، ويخلق مساحة مشتركة للحوار، ويضفي أملًا بإمكانية بناء فهم أعمق وثقة متبادلة بين الطرفين.

التقت المجموعة معًا، مسلمين من جبل المكبر ويهود من نوف تصيون في القدس. تمحور موضوع اللقاء حول عيد الحانوكا، معانيه، والعادات المرتبطة به، ولا سيّما الحلويات التي تُحضَّر وتُؤكل خلاله. بدأ أحد المشاركين بالحديث عن سبب تسمية العيد بـ“حانوكا”، موضحًا خلفيته التاريخية والدينية، ثم انتقل للحديث عن طقوس الاحتفال والعادات الشعبية المرافقة له.

وتوقّف عند حلوى العيد المعروفة باسم السوفكانية  وهي حلوى تشبه الدونات لكنها تختلف عنها، إذ تُعدّ من الكعك المقلي والمحشو عادة بالمربّى. وشرح أن تناول الأطعمة المقلية بالزيت خلال الحانوكا يرمز إلى معجزة الزيت المرتبطة بهذا العيد.

في المقابل، شارك المشاركون المسلمون تقاليدهم في الأعياد، وتحدثوا عن المعمول كحلوى أساسية في عيدي الفطر والأضحى، وهو كعك يُحضَّر من السميد ويُحشى بالعجوة أو الجوز، ويُعدّ رمزًا للاحتفال ولمّة العائلة في الأعياد الإسلامية.

اختُتم اللقاء بمشاركة الانطباعات والتجارب الشخصية حول الأعياد، والمقارنة بين تقاليد الحلويات في الثقافتين، ما أتاح مساحة حوار دافئة ومفتوحة، عكست القواسم المشتركة، وعزّزت قيم الاحترام المتبادل والتعرّف الإنساني بين المشاركين.
