Jaffa Interfaith Encounter Group- 4 encounters

 

February 8th, 2026

The group held an encounter at the Scientology Center in Jaffa, with about 20 leaders and activists from different faiths. Among them was a Pentecostal pastor leading 36 African congregations in Tel Aviv, the president of the Ghanaian community organization in Israel, and three distinguished representatives from the northern Druze community. Initially meant to be a routine encounter, it became more festive due to the return to full activity of the group, and in honor of the World Interfaith Harmony Week. Also present were the founding core members of the group, who have been holding encounters for years.

 

March 17th, 2026

The group met at Steven’s home for an Iftar meal. With the renewal of the fighting between Israel and Iran, we had to go to the safe room during the encounter, but it didn't stop us continuing the conversation. We talked about the rights of women in religions, specially in Islam and Judaism. We talked about the difference between religious and civil laws in Israel. It was part of a greater initiative of Iftar meals and we connected on Zoom with people from Gaza and the West Bank.

 

March 26th, 2026

We talked about hospitality and the relationship with “outsiders” from one’s community. Fr. Samuel talked about how important hospitality was in his childhood house, how his mother used to receive people from all religions in her house in Ramle, the door was always open. New participants also talked about how everyone got along in Ramle. Nahed talked about how Moses and Miriam appear several times in the Quran, even more than Mohamad, and that the prophet says that if his followers have any doubt they should ask the other believers (that is, Jews and Christians). Michal added once more about her project of the difference between legal systems in religion and civil. Sefi added the vision from Scientology, when you diverge from your original goal to counter attacks - you forget your original goal, and then you lose hope. Therefore, when there are many wars we forget our original goal of being together, and we become bitter and too worried about dealing with the attacks. Man's greatest virtue is to be able to love and not hate despite everything around him.

 

May 5th, 2026

Steven brought a very interesting book for us to look into: a Gemara (part of the oral Jewish Tradition, typically written in Arameic in Hebrew letters), that was written in Arabic, from the Andalusian period. We then moved on to talk about the subject of preserving nature around us, with a focus on “ownership” of the land- does the world belong to humans or did God appoint Humans as its guardians? We decided to continue this topic next time in honor of World Environmental Day.

קבוצת המפגש הבין דתי ביפו- 4 מפגשים

הקבוצה קיימה מפגש במרכז הסיינטולוגיה ביפו, בהשתתפות כ-20 מנהיגים ופעילים מדתות שונות. בין המשתתפים היה כומר פנטקוסטלי, מנהיג של 36 כנסיות של יוצאי אפריקה בתל אביב, נשיאת הארגון הגנאי בישראל, ושלושה נציגים מכובדים מהקהילה הדרוזית בצפון. המפגש, שהיה אמור להיות רגיל, הפך למכובד במיוחד, גם לכבוד החזרה לפעילות מלאה של הקבוצה,  וגם לכבוד שבוע ההרמוניה הבין-דתית העולמי. בנוסף, השתתפו גם חברי הגרעין המייסדים של הקבוצה, שמקיימים מפגשים כבר שנים.

 

17 במרץ, 2026

הקבוצה נפגשה בביתו של סטיבן לארוחת איפטאר. עם חידוש הלחימה בין ישראל לאיראן, נאלצנו ללכת לממ"ד במהלך המפגש, אך זה לא מנע מאיתנו להמשיך בשיחה. דיברנו על זכויותיהן של נשים בדתות, במיוחד באסלאם וביהדות. דיברנו על ההבדל בין חוקים דתיים לאזרחיים בישראל. זה היה חלק מיוזמה גדולה יותר של ארוחות איפטאר והתחברנו בזום עם אנשים מעזה ומהגדה המערבית.

דיברנו על אירוח ועל הקשר עם אנשים שאינם מהקהילה שלנו. האב סמואל דיבר על כמה חשוב היה האירוח בבית ילדותו, כיצד אמו נהגה לקבל אנשים מכל הדתות בביתה ברמלה, הדלת תמיד הייתה פתוחה. משתתפים חדשים דיברו גם הם על איך כולם הסתדרו ברמלה. נאהד דיברה על כך שמשה ומרים מופיעים מספר פעמים בקוראן, אפילו יותר ממוחמד, ושהנביא אומר שאם למאמיניו יש ספק כלשהו, ​​עליהם לשאול את המאמינים האחרים (כלומר, יהודים ונוצרים). מיכל הוסיפה שוב על הפרויקט שלה על ההבדל בין מערכות משפטיות הדתית והאזרחית. ספי הוסיף את החזון מסיינטולוגיה, שכאשר סוטים מהמטרה המקורית שלכם כדי לטפל בהתקפות, שוכחים את המטרה המקורית שלכם, ואז מאבדים תקווה. לכן, כשיש מלחמות רבות, שוכחים את המטרה המקורית שלנו להיות ביחד, ואנחנו הופכים למרירים ודואגים מדי להתמודדות עם ההתקפות. המעלה הגדולה ביותר של האדם היא היכולת לאהוב ולא לשנוא למרות כל מה שסביבו.

סטיבן הביא ספר מעניין מאוד עבורנו לעיין בו: גמרא (חלק מהמסורת היהודית שבעל פה, שנכתבה בדרך כלל בארמית באותיות עבריות), שנכתבה בערבית, מהתקופה האנדלוסית. לאחר מכן עברנו לדבר על נושא שימור הטבע סביבנו, תוך התמקדות ב"בעלות" על הארץ - האם העולם שייך לבני אדם או שאלוהים מינה את בני האדם לשומריו? החלטנו להמשיך בנושא זה בפעם הבאה לכבוד יום הסביבה העולמי.

مجموعة اللقاء بين الديانات في يافا - 4 لقاءات

عقدت المجموعة لقاءً في مركز الساينتولوجيا في يافا، بمشاركة نحو 20 قائدًا وناشطًا من ديانات مختلفة. ومن بين المشاركين كان قسّ خمسيني ، وقائد لـ 36 كنيسة للجاليات الإفريقية في تل أبيب، ورئيسة المنظمة الغانية في إسرائيل، وثلاثة ممثلين بارزين من المجتمع الدرزي في الشمال. اللقاء، الذي كان من المفترض أن يكون لقاءً عاديًا، أصبح مميزًا ومهيبًا بشكل خاص، ليس فقط بمناسبة عودة المجموعة إلى نشاطها الكامل، بل أيضًا بمناسبة أسبوع الوئام العالمي بين الديانات كما شارك أيضًا أعضاء النواة المؤسسة للمجموعة، الذين يلتقون منذ سنوات.

اجتمعت المجموعة في منزل ستيفن لتناول إفطار صغير. ومع تجدد القتال بين إسرائيل وإيران، اضطررنا للذهاب إلى الغرفة المحصنة أثناء اللقاء، لكن ذلك لم يمنعنا من مواصلة الحوار. تحدثنا عن حقوق النساء في الأديان، خاصة في الإسلام واليهودية. كما ناقشنا الفرق بين القوانين الدينية والقوانين المدنية في إسرائيل. وكان هذا اللقاء جزءًا من مبادرة أكبر لسلسلة موائد إفطار، حيث تواصلنا أيضًا عبر الزوم مع أشخاص من غزة والضفة الغربية.

تحدثنا عن الضيافة والعلاقة مع أشخاص ليسوا من مجتمعنا المباشر. تحدّث صموئيل عن مدى أهمية الضيافة في بيت طفولته، وكيف كانت والدته تستقبل أشخاصًا من مختلف الديانات في منزلها في الرملة، وكانت الأبواب دائمًا مفتوحة. كما تحدّث مشاركون جدد عن التعايش وكيف كان الجميع ينسجمون معًا في الرملة.
تحدثت ناهد عن كيف أن موسى ومريم يردان مرات عديدة في القرآن، حتى أكثر من محمد، وأن النبي يقول إنه إذا كان لدى المؤمنين أي شك، فعليهم أن يسألوا المؤمنين الآخرين (أي اليهود والمسيحيين).
وأضافت ميخال مجددًا عن مشروعها حول الفروق بين الأنظمة القانونية الدينية والمدنية.
أما سيفي  فأضاف رؤية من الساينتولوجيا، مفادها أنه عندما ينحرف الإنسان عن هدفه الأصلي بسبب الانشغال بالهجمات أو الصراعات، فإنه ينسى غايته الأساسية ويفقد الأمل. ولذلك، عندما تكثر الحروب، ننسى هدفنا الأصلي في أن نكون معًا، ونصبح أكثر مرارة وانشغالًا بمواجهة الهجمات. وأكد أن أعظم فضيلة لدى الإنسان هي القدرة على المحبة لا الكراهية، رغم كل ما يحيط به.

أحضر ستيفن كتابًا مثيرًا جدًا للاهتمام لنتصفحه معًا: الجمارا (وهي جزء من التراث اليهودي الشفهي، كُتبت عادةً بالآرامية بحروف عبرية)، لكنها هذه المرة كانت مكتوبة بالعربية، ومن الحقبة الأندلسية.
بعد ذلك انتقلنا للحديث عن موضوع الحفاظ على الطبيعة من حولنا، مع التركيز على مفهوم "ملكية الأرض" – هل العالم ملك للبشر، أم أن الله عيّن الإنسان ليكون حارسًا عليه؟
واتفقنا على مواصلة هذا الموضوع في اللقاء القادم، تزامنًا مع يوم البيئة العالمي.
