[IEA updates] Pesach greetings & LIFE Interfaith Encounter Group (EN/HE/AR)

LIFE Interfaith Encounter Group- January 9th, 2026
After a number of months of not meeting, our group was finally able to coordinate an encounter at the Almog Junction. There were 6 Jewish participants and 3 Muslim participants, and one child.
It was a very warm encounter, catching up on our personal lives, showing pictures of new children and grandchildren, new pets and retirement updates. There was no formal program, just friends meeting and catching up.
Even though it was a Friday, and shabbat came in early, the Jewish participants were willing to come as this was the only time that was possible. In the past, we had been meeting outdoors, but in the winter months this was impossible since it gets dark so early and there are still no permits for the Palestinians to enter Jerusalem. We sat at a bakery, enjoying coffee and small pastries. I hope we will be able to meet again soon.

LIFE קבוצת מפגש בין-דתי - 9 בינואר, 2026
לאחר מספר חודשים שלא נפגשנו, הקבוצה שלנו סוף סוף הצליחה לתאם מפגש בצומת אלמוג. היינו 6 משתתפים יהודים ו-3 משתתפים מוסלמים וילד אחד.
זה היה מפגש חם מאוד, שוחחנו על חיינו האישיים, הצגת תמונות של ילדים ונכדים חדשים, חיות מחמד חדשות ועדכונים על פרישה. לא הייתה תוכנית רשמית, רק חברים נפגשים ומדברים.
למרות שזה היה יום שישי, והשבת הגיעה מוקדם, המשתתפים היהודים היו מוכנים לבוא מכיוון שזה היה הזמן היחיד שהיה אפשרי. בעבר, היינו נפגשים בחוץ, אבל בחודשי החורף זה היה בלתי אפשרי מכיוון שמחשיך כל כך מוקדם ועדיין אין היתרים לפלסטינים להיכנס לירושלים. ישבנו במאפייה, נהנינו מקפה ומאפים קטנים. אני מקווה שנוכל להיפגש שוב בקרוב.

اللقاء بين الديانات ومجموعة LIFE - ٩ كانون الثاني ٢٠٢٦
بعد عدة أشهر من عدم اللقاء، تمكّنت مجموعتنا أخيرًا من تنسيق لقاء عند مفترق ألموغ. بحيث شارك في اللقاء ستة مشاركين يهود وثلاثة مشاركين مسلمين و طفل .
كان لقاءً دافئًا جدًا، تبادلنا فيه الأخبار عن حياتنا الشخصية، وشاركنا صور الأطفال والأحفاد الجدد، والحيوانات الأليفة، وتحديثات التقاعد. لم يكن هناك برنامج رسمي، بل مجرد أصدقاء يلتقون ويتبادلون الحديث.
على الرغم من أن اللقاء كان يوم الجمعة، ومع دخول السبت (شبات) مبكرًا، إلا أن المشاركين اليهود كانوا مستعدين للحضور لأن هذا كان الوقت الوحيد الممكن. في السابق كنا نلتقي في الخارج، لكن في أشهر الشتاء أصبح ذلك غير ممكن بسبب حلول الظلام مبكرًا، وما زالت لا توجد تصاريح للفلسطينيين لدخول القدس.
جلسنا في مخبز، واستمتعنا بالقهوة والمعجنات الصغيرة. آمل أن نتمكن من اللقاء مرة أخرى قريبًا.
