Why is this "company" modelling underwear only? Don't they do regular
clothes as well?

Hi to all on this newsgroup;

In order to protect our reputation as one of Europe's premier casting
agencies, I am replying to this message I read on the newsgroup today.

EUROCAST is run by trained professionals who have all had experience in
the area of casting.

EUROCAST operates in all European EC member states.

EUROCAST has both a senior and junior section, catering for all ages.

EUROCAST carefully vets all applications to it's staff panel and every
precaution is taken to ensure safety. In addition, whenever EUROCAST is
contracted to a children's programme or activity, parents are always
asked to attend at all times.

EUROCAST Ireland's base is in Cobh, in Co. Cork.

In response to the allegations made in the above posting by "Mike Moran"
we have no idea who the "Tony" referred to in the posting is. We do have
someone by that name working for us, but he is in Northern Ireland and
has been working in the industry for two decades.

Legal action has been initiated against "Mike Moran" and details will be
forthcoming shortly.

In response to other postings, EUROCAST has several other children's
modelling projects in progress at present, not just underwear.

Regards;
John & Jane Taylor.

Ooh, spooky. The post/site wasn't very convincing anyway. Good luck

GOD, I'd say poor ould Mike Moran is shaking in his boots. Its funny that
Eurocasting have their Corporate headquarters in Cobh in County Cork. It
would appear that the original post was made from Does Not Compute which is
an Internet Cafe in Temple Bar Dublin. Tis a long way from Cobh. As Mike
Moran said, give it up you pervert Tony:)

I have been made aware of the message on a Scout newsgroup linking me to
Eurocast. I wish to make it clear that I have no connection whatsoever
with Eurocast and had only heard of them through contacts. It has now
been bought to my attention that Eurocast is a con job, and I am joining
in condemming them and whoever is running them.

It may also be of interest to this newsgroup that I believe that Mike
Moran is in fact Detective Michael Moran from Garda HQ in Dublin. I have
been reading a number of postings made by him (64 or so) in a number of
newsgroups. This information was bought to my attention today by a
relative of mine in the UK who saw a posting on a Scout newsgroup.

Seemingly, this newsgroup is being watched.

In addition to this other people have access to my Deja news account so
there is nothing I can do about this.

This discussion is over.

Tony Luckwill.

I really doubt that, no serving detective would make such a unprofessional,
childish and immature posting to a newgroup.

The EuroCast site has been removed, i assume Eircom.net did it..

Of course that newsgroup is being watched by people who care for kids
and are always watching out for sick bastards who want to exploit
them.By now everyone knows who is behind the sick ads looking for boys
to model underwear. The fact that the links have been made to you is
your own fault

Here is the proof:

" By way of introduction I am Detective Garda Michael Moran, of the
Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Investigation Unit, National Bureau
of Criminal Investigation, based at Harcourt Square, Dublin 2.  I
specialise in Internet related crime and hence your note was passed to
me.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter and good luck with your
scouting.

Michael Moran. "

This meesage was placed into the public domain in the UK and was passed
to me via email on Sunday October 29th 2000, by a relative of mine also
based in the UK.

Garda Michael Moran's cover has been blown, it seems.

I thought it was only boys in underwear that Eurocast were interested
in. You seem to know a lot about a spurious non existant casting agency.
Well done to Michael Moran and others who shut down the sick Eurocast
site on Eircom

Here is a little interesting note i found after reasing this rubbish for the
last few days...
I found it in the Irish times site
_____________________________________________________________

'Man accused of Internet
defamation fit for trial'

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

A man accused of spreading defamatory messages on the Internet is of high
intelligence and is fit to stand trial, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court has
been told.

Consultant psychiatrist Dr Art O'Connor told the jury that Mr Anthony
Luckwill (25), of Monastery Walk, Clondalkin, was fit to stand trial.

The jury also heard a clinical psychologist say Mr Luckwill was of high
intelligence.

Dr Ivor Shortts, who is attached to the Central Mental Hospital, told Ms Úna
Ní Raifeartaigh, prosecuting, that Mr Luckwill presented very well when he
carried out IQ tests on him on September 22nd last. Mr Luckwill showed great
interest in the tests and in the result and obviously wanted to do well. Dr
Shortts said there were 11 sub-tests within the overall test dealing with
different intellectual abilities.

These sub-tests included verbal ability, on which Mr Luckwill scored above
high average range.

Another psychiatrist, Dr Colm McGonagle, said Mr Luckwill suffered from a
rare condition called Asberger's Syndrome which meant that he was unable to
act appropriately in social situations and was unfit to stand trial.

Dr McGonagle said the accused has an obsession with Land Rovers and brought
up the subject on the most inappropriate situations. When Mr Luckwill was a
child he discovered a magnet in the shape of a fish and spent weeks finding
out what it would stick to. "Most of us go through fads, but this was quite
exceptional," he said.

Dr McGonagle said some people such as Gay Byrne and Marian Finucane showed
very high social intelligence. They could enter any situation and know what
was appropriate to say.

In the case of Mr Luckwill, he frequently talked when it was inappropriate
and concentrated on only a small part of what was being said. During
psychological assessments, Mr Luckwill would break into conversations about
Land Rovers when being asked about a completely different subject.

He had shouted and cursed at teachers in school and had a very poor
understanding of what was appropriate behaviour.

The jury was told that Mr Luckwill had made oral complaints to the Garda
about another man as well as writing several letters about him on the
Internet, of which he had a very high technical understanding.

The trial continues before Judge Frank O'Donnell.

Oops. There are a couple of posts recorded on Deja dated in May and June
purporting to be from Mr Luckwill, but they appear to be posted from an
internet cafe. I'm not sure exactly how my-deja works, but the posts do
appear to have been authenticated with a dejanews login (the same one
used to post recent messages), so I don't think they were forged.

But if he had already been in custody for 19 months, then it's quite
likely that he would be out by now.
