Greetings IE students!
The IE Net Impact Club is writing to invite you to represent your country through creating a stand and/or holding a performance in this year’s Global Village, which will be taking place in the afternoon of Thursday, May 26th. As many of you know, Global Village is one of IE’s iconic festivals that celebrates our cultural diversity, in which students showcase the best of their countries' culture, food, arts and craft, and traditions. (To be clear, we are not selling tickets at this time: tickets will be sold the week of the event).
If your country is represented by an IE Club, please contact your club president to let them know that you would like to participate. Clubs have already been invited to participate with a stand, and you can see what clubs have already signed up and find their contact details HERE.
In order to indicate that you are interested in participating as an individual, please indicate this on the Google Excel sheet linked below by Friday, May 6 by 5PM
IE Global Village 2011 sign up sheet:
How to get involved:
1. Sign in to the Google Excel linked above to indicate that you are interested in representing your country/geographic region with a stand at Global Village.
2. The Global Village team will contact all who sign up to confirm their participation. Individuals or independent groups that are not represented by a club will be assisted in forming a regional group, if they so desire, or simply registered to participate on their own. We will also assign you with a Global Village Coordinator, who will be your primary contact as you prepare for the event.
3. We will also assign you a spot in the Serrano 99 garden for your stand.
4. If you would like to hold a performance (you can do this as an individual or as a regional group), please let your Global Village Coordinator know as soon as possible, and indicate on the Google Excel sheet if you already know; we will then assign you a timeslot and provide details on how the performance can be arranged.
5. Be creative, have fun!
