The BT Business Management Graduate Development Programme

 

Lots of our Senior Leaders have come through our Graduate Programme. Some have even become CEO’s. We need more people like them.

 

BT is one of the world’s leading communications services companies, serving the needs of customers in more than 170 countries.  Our main activities are the provision of fixed-line services, broadband, mobile and TV products and services as well as networked IT services. 

You’ll spend two years doing a rotational role. Some of the areas you might explore include:

• Project management,
• Customer management
• Business consultancy
• Contract management
• Sales

You’ll have the chance to experience various kinds of work and to build a clearer picture of the direction you want to take your career in.

All kinds of different people thrive on our Business Management programme. This is probably because of the wide range of career opportunities it can offer. For some roles, you need to be a real strategic thinker. Other roles suit people who love leading teams. Wherever you end up working, you need to be good with people and someone who knows how to focus on the customer.

The aim of the programme is to help you develop the skills and experience you need to become a senior leader within BT.  There’s all the learning you’ll do on the job. This is really important, as it gives you first-hand experience of how business works and how we solve problems for our customers.

Training and Development

Then there’s our core graduate training programme. This is 20 days of formal learning spread over two years, and it’s been specifically designed to help you build up the skills you need to thrive in a leadership role.  This will include:-

• Core Induction in the UK
• Multiple Leadership training courses including a 5 day residential leadership week in the UK
• Commercial and Financial Awareness
• Talent Master classes
• Graduate Finale celebration ceremony in the UK

There will also be lots of extra training available throughout your career. We’re a big company, and it’s a steep learning curve.

Entry Requirements

There are a number of things you must have to be eligible for the Graduate Programme. Please make sure you meet these criteria before beginning your application.

 

University education

• 2.1 degree (or local equivalent):
• Singapore – Upper second class degree or minimum 3.4 GPA (if studied at a US university)
• 2.2 (Lower second class) degree accepted if the candidate has a master’s degree

Secondary education – 320 UCAS points (ABB at A-Level) or local equivalent

• Singapore – H2 and Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced (GCE A Level) –ABB grades

 

• Fluency in English (or IELTS 6.0 - 7.5)

 

*This opportunity is open to anyone who has completed a university degree and meets the minimum entry requirements
