ID Switching

Hello all,

I primarily use idtracker to track 6 guppies during 1hr-long videos. In validating some of these videos, I've noticed that two fish will swap IDs but that there is no error that pops up when this occurs. 

To identify and fix these errors, all I've been able to do is pick through idtracker's automated errors (i.e. Jump, Missing ID, etc.) in the Validator and hope I come across frames where IDs switch so I can manually correct them. This, though, takes a lot of time. Does anyone know if there is an easier way to tell when IDs swap between fish?

Hi Carolyn,

Sorry for the late reply. There's no other way of fixing identity swaps but to check the errors in the Validator. With very long videos like yours this can be time consuming...

In the next month(s) we are releasing a new version of idtracker.ai which should make less identification errors. I believe it will be useful for you.
