Idtracker for MacOS

Hey! I am trying to install idtracker on my MacBook Pro (M1, 2020 edition). Is there anyway I can try it out on my device? If so, can you please guide me for the same?

Hi Pradyut,

Idtrackerai is fully compatible with MacOS, except for old machines (MacOS < 12.3) which don't use GPU acceleration. If you encounter any problem installing it on your machine, check first our installation troubleshooting guide and, if you don't find an answer, post your specific issue here.

I followed the installation guide on the website but couldn't run the test files. I tried deactivating and then activating the conda environment again (as the troubleshoot suggests), but still have the same problem.

Can you share the output of "python -m pip install idtrackerai"?

Right, I changed the PyQt version to PyQt6 (as it says on the troubleshoot guide). But I am attaching the output of the "python -m pip install idtrackerai" as you asked.

Thanks for the screenshot,

The installation of PyQt5 fails in some MacOS machines. Following the troubleshooting guide, install: 1) PyQt6 or any other Qt binding 2) idtrackerai without any dependency 3) the remaining dependencies. Everything is explained in the guide.

Share the result of this if it fails again.

Thanks for your guidance! I can access the segmentation GUI finally (on my Mac).
