A word about The Beatles

I never liked the Beatles when i was younger but i have played the
flute since i was 7 and I have a good friend that i get together with
and he plays the quitar and we play together alot. He is a big Beatles
fan and he is alot younger than me. I started playing Beatles songs
with him and i learned to love them (Those songs sound really good on
the flute too) I guess i was hard tonight on the singing but some of
them did ok. I remember when John Lennon was shot and i cried for days
because i thought it was so unfair. I just thought i would share this
with you and i wanted to share a song by Elton John about John

Thank you very much for sharing this with me. I am way after the
Beatles' original fan base, but I do like a lot of their songs.
Personally I do think they're overrated as a band, but I do understand
people's fascination with them and when John Lennon was killed, that
must have been such a tragedy and I can only imagine what it was like.
Thanks for sharing that Elton John song, I actually never heard it
before and I think it's nice that he wrote it for his friend, just
like when he recorded "Candle In the Wind" for Princess Diana.

I saw a thing on tv one time with Elton where he said he actually went
one day to John's house and kept knocking and he didn't come to the
door.It was so sad. He went on to tell about the beautiful gardens he
had at his house. That is what the song is all about . I think it is
a nice song. I understand your feelings about the Beatles. I have a
good friend that loves Led Zeplin and gets pissed because they always
rate the Beatles higher than them on Rock charts. I think The Beatles
just came along at the right time. WHen i hear the songs i never think
Rock and Roll at all.

Yeah, me neither. They're basically in a category of their own and I
don't think there's been a group as revolutionary as them since, nor
will there ever be.
