A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.
Look familiar? The big difference is these all have a specific sound, completely regular. Look at lesson 0 in Ido Skolo, "Zeresma Leciono," to learn more! If that doesn't help, here is how I pronounce it over in the USA:
A. (vowel) Always "A" like in "Ahhh!"
B. (consonant) Same way. "Bubbles."
C. (consonant) "Ts" like in "caTS."
D. (consonant) Same way. "Duck."
E. (vowel) Always "E" like in "Eh...what?"
F. (consonant) Same way. "Fudge!"
G. (consonant) Always "G" like in "Go."
H. (consonant) Always "H" like in "Hello."
I. (vowel) Always "EE" like in "Eeeek!"
J. (consonant) Always "S" like in "treaSure."
K. (consonant) Same way. "OK."
L. (consonant) Same way. "Let's do this."
M. (consonant) Same way. "Mmmmmm."
N. (consonant) Same way. "Not quite done yet."
O. (vowel) Always "O" like in "Oh my."
P. (consonant) Same way. "Puh-leese."
Q. (consonant) Always "Qu" like in "Queen."
R. (consonant) Preferably the infamous trill, but the same if you can't. "Grrr."
S. (consonant) Always "S" like in "Simple."
T. (consonant) Same way. "Taco."
U. (vowel) Always "OO" like in "gOO."
V. (consonant) Same way. "Victory!"
W. (consonant) Same way. "Weee!"
X. (consonant) Always "X" like in "kiX." (yes the cereal)
Y. (consonant) Always "Y" like in "Yes."
Z. (consonant) Same way. "Z is for Zoo."
12 of 26 are completely natural to you and me and the other 14 aren't weird at all like in every other language. With little work you should be able to pass at reading Ido! Post your success stories!
