Subject: [Obo-discuss] Proposal for a new ontology
To: obo-d...@lists.sourceforge.net

Hi,

My lab has been involved in bioinformatics research for about a decade.
Among other tools we built and host HIVToolbox a tool about the knowledge of HIV proteins sequence, structure and function. (hivtoolbox.bio-toolkit.com). Sargeant D, Deverasetty S, Luo Y, Baleta AV, Zobrist S, Rathnayake V, Russo JC, Vyas J, Muesing MA, and Schiller MR. (2011). HIVToolbox, an integrated web application for investigating HIV. PLoS One6, e20122. PMID: 21647445 PDF
As we expand this tool we recognize that their is no existing ontology and would like to be part of a collaborative effort to build an HIV ontology. I look forward to the possibility of working with the OBO foundry

Thank you,
