seputar informasi google cache.

pertanyaan saya:

- bagaimanakah supaya kita bisa menikmati layanan google cache?

- konon google cache sudah ada di IIX, apakah kita harus route melalui IIX?

- apakah kita bisa membangun google cache sendiri buat isp kita?

demikian dulu, mohon apabila ada yang berkenan untuk sharing informasi nya.

Om Haryanto,

Google cache biasanya tersedia di ISP-ISP besar yang bekerjasama dengan Google. Syaratnya hanya punya ASN, karena metode koneksinya menggunakan BGP.

Layanan tersebut biasanya hanya dibuka ISP untuk pelanggannya. Dan prosesnya pun otomatis.

Google menyediakan servernya gratis ke ISP, untuk dipasang sedekat mungkin ke jalur pelanggan.

AFAIK, Basically GGC bisa didapat dengan gratis asalkan kita sudah qualified untuk mendapatkannya. setau saya minimum traffic ke google adalah 300Mbps dan nantinya harus direct peering ( Siapkan direct link ke google min 300Mbps ) dengan google terdekat. Untuk kasus Indonesia peeringny harus ke Google Singapore.

jadi kita bisa registrasi untuk mendapatkan google cache server dengan kita melakukan registrasi ya.

namun minimun traffic nya cukup seram harus 300Mbps. itu traffic 300Mbps ke google saja gitu?

ISP/NAP yang punya GGC diperbolehkan untuk meneruskan ke pelanggan IP transitnya. Dari sisi ISP tersebut, malah bagus, karena bisa menghemat bandwidth upstreamnya.Mungkin akan ada perhitungan komersial, tergantung kebijakan ISPnya.

Pengalaman kita sih..google yang contact ke kita  (email admin) , kalau mereka detect dari ASN tertentu udah besar trafficnya ke arah google... kalau gak salah 2Gbps threshold mereka.

Dulu kita dikontak sama jake...@google.com , Peering coordinator APAC GGC, 

Tapi kayaknya terakhir doi udah gak pegang APAC lagi..coba sebentar sy tanyakan update contactnya.

2. untuk server dan konfigurasinya sudah dari Google sendiri ya?

3. yg harus disiapkan untuk server GGC apa saja?

4. syarat mendapatkan GGC itu ini ya:
- Minimal Trafik ke Google sudah sebesar 1Gbps.
- Punya ASN karena untuk koneksi pakai BGP.
- Pengajuan Formulir GGC.
