Others, like 'il muro -- i muri/le mure' change meaning. i muri are the walls of a house, and le mure are the walls of a city. And "il braccio i bracci/le braccia" -- i bracci are the "arms" of a lamp or cross, and le braccia are the "arms" of a person.
