Sorry if this has already been covered in another post, I couldn't find this topic elsewhere.

I'm tinkering with an idea that would involve sending commands to Mote from an external program and have it either call a macro inside of Mote or just send code to Mote to execute (I just learned about this the other day so I'm still learning what it can and can't do).
Is there a way to do this, and if so, where might I find more info?  I've noticed APIs talked about, I've used REST API in the past to do this same thing, but as far as I can tell the APIs being discussed are just within Mote itself.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Derrick,

Welcome to the community :)

What do you have in mind, exactly? Going by your description, you can just simply use another instance of Mote to execute macros on another instance. Or do you have a particular application in mind?

Writing a REST-like API coupled Mote's API, will take a lot of work and time, both of which we are always in a scarce supply of  XD

Hello,
The project I had in mind was to create a virtual tabletop using Mote as the software interface to display maps and tokens, with data fed from sensors from an Arduino.  However, I've decided to go a different route, so I won't need to go down the Mote path anymore.  I do like what I see, you guys have done a great job, so I'll have to see if I can incorporate this into another project down the road.
Thanks anyway
