Hi everyone,
We're very glad that yet another framework was shared to the community recently. That makes 2 LOL ;).
Joking aside, each one marks a point of stability, from our perspective, and we all know what we all went through, to get here. So, it's a good time to get this discussion underway, even if the actuality is quite a bit into the future still.
As most of you know (our apologies to those who don't), Idle Ideas is a small development group, with modest commercial intents for the future. We never hid that fact from everyone, though it's easy for that, and other facts, to get buried in all the text we've written since everything began.
One important aspect of our overall plan is to foster creative works through our apps/tools and offer fairness, reliability and responsibility, in the shepherding of these.
It is important to us that people come to understand that it is our aim to be the most equitable (even generous) provider, out there. What is intended to be free, should be free. What is intended by creators to profit from, should always in their favor. Whatever exists in the real world in order to make these ideals sustainable, everyone should be aware of and agreeable with.
Currently, we are still in the process of creating tools and services. But like any company that wants to do good, it helps to be guided by people who believe in what we're trying to do, and who see and think of things, we wouldn't have.
(Note that this isn't only for Mote, but for all the projects that currently make up the "grand" plan.)
Therefore, this topic is to discuss the following, ordered by importance:
- What constitutes as fair between creator and host.
- The technical and technological aspects of sharing creations.
- Strategies in driving awareness of our apps and these creations.
- Helpful opinions, and suggestions for threads on relevant topics.
- Whatever should be on this list that we've missed.
We hope to hear from you guys. There's a lot of fun things to discuss, especially on the technical aspects :))
Thanks.
