Hey all,
Got a little busy so wasnt able to reply to your mails. Anyways, wonderful job and congratulations to all you guys for setting up teams out there.
@Sangita: The type of assistance that we require is to identify schools in your respective areas, talk and convince the authorities about the IDIA project and also convince them to spare us some time to talk to students and conduct the exam. This is the tough part. After that you need to talk to the students, convince them that LAW is a good career option, conduct an aptitude test, identify meritorius students based on economic standards and put them in touch with IMS guys who have undertaken to impart coaching to these students along with others. However we do not have much time left. As our target is mid August. It would be great if you can identify any such school or college in or around cuttack.
I am planning to visit BBSR this weekend. Bhargav Joshi, a IVth year student, will also be accompanying me. We plan to visit both KLS and NLUO to talk to volunteers and students regarding IDIA. Any doubt that you people have will be clarified then.
I request both the colleges i.e. KLS and NLUO to get in touch with each other and arrange everything as we will be arriving on saturday morning and be back sunday night. By then, please identify a school or two (this is for NLUO). KLS people need only to focus on KISS as that would be the best place to get underprivileged yet meritorious students.
Kindly work on the timings so that it does not clash. It will be easier for us if we go to one college on saturday and another on sunday. But it all depends on your convenience, so even if we are required to visit both the law schools on saturday, we don't mind travelling from bbsr to cuttack (stopping on the way for some RASGULLAS :-P).
Ananya, by saturday kindly talk to the students from BJEM based on their interest (coz many of them have taken up coaching for either engineering or medical) since we cannot and should not waste our resources on people who keep law as their second preference.
Please get back to me on this soon.
Regards,
