What are the software requirements for for Intel Distribution for Apache Hadoop?

The following software and configuration requirements must be met on all nodes in the cluster.

§  On each node, OpenSSH* 5.3 or higher must be installed and running. The sshd daemon server must listen on port 22.

§  SSH, HTTP, FTP communication must be permitted between all the nodes in the cluster.

§  Java Runtime Environment* v1.6.0_31 must be installed.

§  sudo must be installed and working so that the root user can su to one or more faceless accounts

§  Verify that MySQL has not been installed on any of the nodes in the cluster.

§  All the nodes in the cluster must have access to OS software repository, which is used to install RPMs. All the nodes in the cluster must use the same OS software repository. During installation and configuration of the Intel® Distribution for Apache Hadoop* software, scripts need to be able install RPMs from this repository. For OEL and RHEL, this is a yum repository. For SLES, this is a zypper repositor
