DRBD fails to install

Any success in installing DRBD for HA for Namenode?
It fails during the install and cluster cant be brought up subsequently.

Also looking for documentation (User / Admin guide)

Could you provide us the following information:

1.      Type of deployment (On-Premise or Cloud)

2.      Operating System & Release Version

3.      Kernel Version

 

Also, at what stage of installation are you seeing the issue?

It fails during install phase. May be the kernel version and DRBD versions are not matching.

Kernel: 2.6.32-279

Centos 6.3

Hi Shehadri,

 

Can you provide me with the following details:

 

·        Run “service drbd status” on Primary Node & Stand-by node and send us the status output.

·        Run “crm status” on the Namenode and send us the status output.

·        The Primay NameNode & Jobtrackers logs from the respective nodes. The logs can be found under (/var/log/hadoop).

 

Also, check if you see any errors in the /var/log/messages file.

We have started installing IDH 2.3 on CentOS and running into similar problems with getting HA setup.
