To obtain the Twitter profile images that show in the site I was using
http://tweetimag.es/ (the idea being it would catch when you guys
change profile images). Problem is the service is iffy at best, and I
was getting tired of seeing the default green bird all over the place
instead of the correct user image (that doesn't change that often
anyway :P). So this morning I changed it so whenever a new post
appears on the site, it checks the author's Twitter profile and
updates the image then. This way we use the Amazon-hosted official
Twitter images instead of relying on tweetimag.es.

Summary: if you see the green bird appear on your just-published blog
post, contact me. Hopefully once everybody goes through a round of
publishing we will not see the damn green bird again. Unless I messed
up… that is always a possibility :)

Hey Miguel,

Looks great! But the authors bars still has the tweetimag.es links. :-)

Cheers,

Yes, as I said it will be updated as people publish new posts. Right
now only Aaron is using the new method, since his post was published
minutes after I installed it :) But yes, both the images in the main
content and the author's list will update for everybody eventually.

Ah, okay. I just wondered because my image is right on the main page, but broken in the authors list.

Cheers,
Volker
