iDev meeting on tomorrow (Tues)

The last iDev meeting of the year is at 6pm on Tuesday November 27 at Jade, 5 Sir Gil Simpson Drive.

Once more it's a casual session, hosted by Brian.  Post a reply if you've got something you'd like to roll out in front of everyone else.  Hope you guys have a great time.

1. $5 for pizza 
2. A question to ask, or something to show off.

Maybe we should change the name of this thing to devmob Chch.  For those that went to devmob in Auckland, this meeting's probably a good time to spread around anything that you got out of it.

It’s looking like fairly slim pickings left out of our usual attendees.  If nobody e-mails to advise they’re going to be attending, I’ll assume that I won’t need to be here to host the meeting etc.

Also renaming to devmob might be a good idea to get more people along.

Brendon, what would it take to get you back? I'm missing your input each month!

Something that might be a good idea for our meet ups is to replicate what they do at the Auckland meet up with quick fire talks (5 min limit?) on a specific tool or technology you have found useful. Sam McEwan (@saggis) organised such a series of talks at devmob and it was really good.

Our usual meeting room is currently setup in “theatre seating” layout.  Given that it looks like we won’t have sufficient numbers to make this month’s meeting worthwhile, I’ll pull the plug now for tonight’s meeting and tell our Admin/Facilities people that they won’t need to change the room setup for the iDev meeting.
