Jasper subreport issue

Hi  Nicolas,Carlos

Appreciate for help, I have created a customized two jasper report, main and subreport, and I have attached the main report in idempiere report & process, but when i am trying to print the report its showing error called (org.adempiere.exceptions.AdempiereException: Resource not found at: subreport.jasper.) Please assit

Hi Saurabh, you just mention attaching the main report, did you attach the subreport?

I don't use much jasper reporting, I found this page from 2012:

It's mentioned there "Subreports can not use any resources" - not sure if that's still the case.

Dear Mr Carlos

This mean that using reporting engine in iDempiere is enough for simple to more complex reporting?
Currently i prefer using iDempiere reporting engine to create any customs reporting

Hi Saurabh,

if you use a subreport, the absolute path to the subreport is needed.
so it is better to use a report-folder on your server.

like:
/srv/reports/yourreport/main.jasper

Subreport Expression in your main-report
/srv/reports/yourreport/subreport.jasper
or
$P{SUBREPORT_DIR}+subreport.jasper

if you use the reports as attachments, it is difficult to
find the right subreportpath in the tmp-folder.
