Error building iDempiere 9 – JasperStudio repository not found during target definition resolution

  Hi everyone,
I’m currently working on iDempiere 9 and trying to build it from source using Maven on Windows, but I’m running into the following error during the target platform resolution step:  

[ERROR] Failed to resolve target definition file:/C:/Users/****/idempiere/org.idempiere.p2.targetplatform/org.idempiere.p2.targetplatform.target: Failed to load p2 metadata repository from location https://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperstudio/files/updatesite/6.17.0: Unable to read repository at https://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperstudio/files/updatesite/6.17.0. https://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperstudio/files/updatesite/6.17.0 is not a valid repository location.

It looks like Maven is trying to reach a JasperStudio update site that no longer exists or is blocked.

Has anyone faced this issue while building iDempiere 9.0 locally? 

• Do I need to modify the target platform file? 
• Should I replace the JasperStudio URL with a working one? 
• Or is there another workaround that’s recommended by the community?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated — thank you in advance!

Hi, go to file

org.idempiere.p2.targetplatform.target and change the url

https://sourceforge.net/projects/jasperstudio/files/updatesite/6.17.0

to

https://idempiere.github.io/binary.file/p2.repackaged/jasperstudio/6.17.0

after that you can try mvn verify again.
