Hi everyone.  This is my first time posting in this group.  I have installed iDempiere on a VM running Windows XP SP3.  After running the latest iDempiere installer downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/red1/files/, I was able to run both the server and client on my machine.  I also managed to access iDempiere via a browser (localhost:8080).  Then I ran Update Assistant and ran Ant from the \idempiere\migration directory.  This step was also successful, I think, as I was able to run both the client and server after that.  But when I downloaded server-update.bat and ran it from the idempiere directory in a DOS cmd mode, the program, while executed completely, deleted both the idempiere.exe and idempiere-server.bat from the directory.  Now I am unable to access the server and the client also will not work.  Would appreciate any comments or solutions from the group.

The installer is for basic use and you may need to move the client to its own folder to avoid overwrite (have not experienced that before). Then for client side use:  http://sourceforge.net/projects/red1/files/p2/ClientUpdateFromDaily.bat/download .    If it restore back your files, then i work out the ServertUpdateFromDaily.bat.

To be 100% OK, we can do a complete refresh of the binaries as the DB and Java side are already OK:

Download the whole binary from (SERVER) http://jenkins.idempiere.com/job/iDempiereDaily/ws/buckminster.output/org.adempiere.server_1.0.0-eclipse.feature/idempiereServer.win32.win32.x86.zip
and (CLIENT) http://jenkins.idempiere.com/job/iDempiereDaily/ws/buckminster.output/org.adempiere.ui.swing_1.0.0-eclipse.feature/idempiereClient.win32.win32.x86.zip
INTO separate new folders (rename the present as OLD..)
RUN console setup alt again to obtain the properties

This is only the binary side. The DB side you to be latest before running ANT, get the new scripts from http://jenkins.idempiere.com/job/iDempiereDaily/ws/migration/i1.0a-release/postgresql

I found out that during update files are deleted and will be updated from the p2 site only upon completion of the update. So if you do not see those files, it means your update was aborted halfway. So, just try to run them again. I had the same situation.
