i'm zuhri. i'm implementing IDempiere 1.0c on virtual machine with spesification of server :

HP DL360 Gen8 12core 24G Ram
Virtual Machine : Proxmox 2.3
VM Instance for IDempiere : 8core & 10gb ram
OS : CentOS 6.4 64bit
Java : Oracle Java 6
the IDempiere installation and Database use different VM instance. we are using PostgreSQL 9.3.

i set idempiereEnv.properties at IDEMPIERE_JAVA_OPTIONS but not working. so i set directly on idempiere-server.sh file and set like this :
-Xms6G -Xmx6G -XX:PermSize=256M -XX:MaxPermSize=256M

when i check via 'top' command, the %CPU for the java task show over 100%. it occurs once or twice a day.  i have to kill the process with kill -9 command because stop idempiere service doesnt kill the java process.

i cant find a way to check what is the process that generates this processor leak suddenly. currently, the server is in the good condition. i will post the 'top' screenshot when the problem occured.

i check the latest log and the error is Error PermGen. would u give me suggestions about how to set a better tunning for IDempiere? and how to find what process that generates the processor leak. thank you before.

Hi Zuhri, 1.0c is old version, we're actually maintaining 2.1 and
working on development of 3.0

I would recommend you to try to migrate to 2.1
