Quote Convert Process
1) You
can convert a Proposal or Quotation to any other Order document type.
2) You would use this process, if you want to maintain/keep the Proposal or
Quotation.
3) The document status needs to be In Process.

a) What is the functionality or practical logic behind the rule Quote Convert filters Orders (Proposal or Quotation) with Status IN-PROGRES?
- Normally companies do not want Proposal or Quotations once send/submitted to their prospects/customers for their approval not to be modified knowingly or unknowingly by anybody
- And if it has to be modified as per the request/response received from prospects/customers it will copied to a new Order document (Proposal or Quotation) and is then REVISED
so that original Proposal or Quotation is kept intact for future reference
- Therefore Proposal or Quotation should be processed and COMPLETED after send/submitted to prospects/customers for their approval ?
- And hence the Quote Convert process should process the Proposal or Quotation with Status COMPLETED ?
- Is it because of the limitation that a COMPLETED document cannot be updated or linked with the generated/converted Order?
2) You would use this process, if you want to maintain/keep the Proposal or
Quotation.
b) How this can be configured?
Where is the configuration or setting to either maintain/keep both the original as well as the converted/generated document OR convert/transform the original document to the new document type ?
