After a successful migration from ADempiere 3.6.1 to Idempiere 1.0 release ( sql scripts and so on), I notice that most of the new UU fields such as : ad_client_uu from ad_client table are empty (I used pgadmin ) ...

I see that while any new creation of modification of rows in Idempiete is updating those UU fields, any previous migrated rows doesn´t have valid values (empty)  ... then I am wondering is that is normal .. or if we have to run any script or manual process to regenerate those uu ids for the previous (migrated) row of my tables ...

You can use the Generate UUID process to fill it up. If feasible, it is recommended to fill it up for better future compatibility.

Thanks Hen Sin, where can I find that  Generate UUID process ? I didn´t find it on System or admin menus in Idempiere ... is it just java code or sql script ?

Regards.

Hengsin

I already have Idempiere 1.0c  (migration scripts applied until current release) and It does not exist that menu option on my System Administrator Role, to speed up my fix  I created a new menu option, pointing to the process:  UUID Generator_UUIDGenerator.. That is the correct process  right ?

Thanks.
