Hi everyone.

One of our customers have replicated this weird behavour, where Adempiere 3.6.1 generated negative reserved stock, for all the transactions when the sales process is executed the first day of the month, after that the stock transactions are ok.

We have already double checked product and warehouse config, so we want to know if some of you have experience something similar or perhpas if you have identified this as a bug ...

If not, do you suggest any specific java class/stock policy that we can check to fix this behaviour ? any other suggestions ?

Regards,

Hi Pedro,

I know of two issues that will affect QtyOrdered and QtyReserved accuracy:
  1. When completing a Material Receipt against a Purchase Order, the MRLine writes its ASI back to the POLine. This behavior creates inaccuracies when you later act on the PO because the original reservation acted with an ASI =0, the last action is acting with an ASI <> 0. The results is a (+) in one storage and a (-) in another. If you do not care about ASI in regards to storage, this is a minor irritation. If you do, this behavior creates havoc. Generally speaking, the MRLine should never write its ASI back to the POLine.
  2. If you over ship/deliver against a Sales Order, the resulting reserved qty will go negative. You can remedy this behavior by closing the orders. The close process puts the reserved qty back to zero.
Let me know if you have any questions, comments or concerns with the above statements.
