warehouse goods ownership - public wh

hi, 

i have a task in a public warehouse to setup ownership of the good. its not a consigned good just simple contractual storage.where a product could be stored for various customers. an change ownership too. (its advanced, consignment)

i'm evaluating now an option - where i created an attribute instance (in set) - where value is the BP/customer. that means i can make reporting and track who is the owner of the goods. 

i found 2 gaps. 

1. asi value history is not tracked. (woud be nice here) - if items was sold to another party, then i need to generate another lot, with another owner. (same issue with another attribute (label language)

2. asi cant relate to regular datatable. (bpartners).

is it right direction, what you mean ? any experience could help :)
