Hi team
We want to implent idempiere server with two separate server and database in way that if one server goes down the other one take the job, so the users don't see the difference but behind the seens it will be two servers if one goes down the other take the control, how we can implement that and any of you did that before.
I am exted to hear from your experiences and the trad-offs

you can install IDempiere on both servers and use a loadbalancer

Hi,

I have already a similar configuration:

uno loadbalancer in front of 2 application servers.

I configured a level-3 load balancer, because the idempiere endpoints want 8443-ssl traffic.

I would preferred to leave the decryption work to loadbalancer, having 8080 traffic between LB and the application servers. Is it possible ?

Thank you

You can implement this using an AWS Application Load Balancer and ECS tasks with the task count set to 2. The load balancer will route traffic between the tasks, and if one goes down, the other will continue handling requests.

Hi Paolo, yes, 8080 is possible, we reopened this possibility precisely for these cases.

Use nginx simplest possible solution.
