Two Application Server using One Database Server

Dear All

Can  please comment on the Pros  and Cons of setting up two separate iDempiere Application Server (both same version 5.1) but connected to only one single Postgres Database Server

My imagination is allowing more users should be able to connect and work freely without system hanging because there is two application server instance running against one database server

I have 3 dell servers with ram of 4 gb each so i can make two application server and one database server

Is their issue regarding record locking ?  Else what will other problems i may face ?

Hi Shiju,

iDempiere is prepared for load balanced environments.

Two things comes to my mind (maybe there are more):

- setting IP address on schedule  to avoid several servers running the
same tasks

- configure hazelcast for the group of servers
