We have used ADempiere

And now we will try to used iDempiere to our new Project

is it significant different between ADempiere and iDempiere?

if yes, how big is the different?

Can our knowledge of ADempiere to practices to iDempiere?

The core concept of Application Dictionary, Report (built in and JasperReport), Process, Workflow, Accounting Engine and Document Processing (DocAction, DocStatus) is largely the same between iDempiere and ADempiere.

Build and customization is verify different with iDempiere as we are Maven and OSGi base, see https://wiki.idempiere.org/en/Main_Page#Develop_iDempiere, https://wiki.idempiere.org/en/Category:Plug-In_Development and https://wiki.idempiere.org/en/Category:New_Features_v9 (we added many annotation stuff at v9).  For new developers, https://wiki.idempiere.org/en/Scaffolding_-_iDempiere_Plugin should help to build your first plugin.
