Idempiere/adempiere experiences for rigth-to-left languages like arabic.

Hi everyone

We have created a couple of localizations before for Idempiere sucha as Panama (spanish based) & Uvory Coast (French), but we are evaluating the impact/feasibility  to create our first rigth-to-left language localization fro Arabic.

We already cheked the standard java intrnationalzition stuff and so on, including HTML tags and we migth have a tralator for the messages; however having in mind that most of the zk UI is generated from the dictionary, it is not easy to think in a manual startegy inserting html tags and so on .., then we want to ask you :

1. If anyone have performed a similar localtion before with adempeire to share yoru exprience ?

2. Are those languages variables supported by the dictionary (generating the locale tags for the html/zk ui) supporing bidirectional text field and so on ... ?

3. Do you suggest any approach .. or do you think that is feasible ?

Like our previous localization we will publish it (if we can performed) ..then we would appreciate your feedback & suggestions to expand Idempiere localizations ..

i am exactly add arabic language for idempiere and it working fine ,, in the same way i am working to improve the trasnlation to be suitable with arabic users and clients too

to make the rtl more effective , 

1- make CSS for rtl and make it change depend on the language selected by user 

that i think we will need

1. is your CSS  customization job already integrated within idempiere ? 

2. if not, whne do you plan to release it as a localization ? 

3. or how can we get acces to it, to join efforts ?

i CSS Customization integrated within iDempiere

also we have to get two CSS on for LTR and RTL

i will realsase it as  a localization after make the Translation is better than to make it easly for Arabic users

Hi Ahmed.

I understand the effort to translate everything is big for one person, then similar to other traslation efforts in the past I would suggest you to publish the remaining components of your localization (config changes, css and so on), and then we can coordinate with more people to help you with the traslation,  ( we have a customer interested on that topic, that migth help us to get a traslator if required ) let us know how we can help

i think it's relate to your thread.

maybe consider a flag rtf to language table to set correct align to each log-in session
