WMS Features

Hi all

We're working on an upcoming project, and our client needs to manage storage capacity at the warehouse and location level.
We've already tried to get the WMS plugin working, but without success.
Has anyone implemented these features, and if so, how can we discuss this?

The customer manages product sizes to determine volume, as well as the number of products per master package and the number of master packages per pallet.
The customer would like the user to be informed (automatically or after consultation) of the remaining storage capacity, including the number of pallets still available, when placing a purchase order and upon receipt.

He would also like that when generating the shipment of an order, it suggests the most appropriate location based on the quantities ordered.

I’m an experienced java developer and I’ve worked on a similar requirement in Compiere for one of our clients, where we implemented pallet- and master package capacity management at the locator level.

We have not used the WMS plugin but have developed a lot of the features ourselves.

Picking , Replenishment, Route & Loading plan  , EPOD Driver APP etc.

What is it that you are looking for?

Hi Evan,

There will be several phases for this project.
The first requirement expressed is to be able to manage the volume capacity of a warehouse and/or locator.
Volume will exist for an item at three levels:
- Product
- Master carton
- Pallet
For example, for a locator, it would be necessary to define the storage level for a product and how it is stored (item, master carton, pallet).
Therefore, when entering a PO for an item, an alert would need to be generated to inform the user of the remaining storage capacity in all the locators to which it is assigned.
Following the features you have developed, these are the requirements that will be required in the following phases.
