Hi,

I have created a client in idempiere and do below stages

1. setup accounting
2. setup master data
3. add columns and do some configuration through idempiere

Now, i want to reset transaction data so that can restart anew.

Anyone know the tricks to do this?

Adam.

There is a post on 'cleanup client test data' that may help.

You can restore the database again..

Taking a look at the thread referred to by Steven I saw the screenshot from aDempiere and the script courtesy of Chuck, I am wondering if there is the same functionality within iDempiere.  Looking I could not find it. Hardmax mentions restoring the db but a process within iDempiere would be nice to maintain, IMHO.

Does it reside in iDempiere?

I am not aware of any such functionality presently within iDempiere.

Indeed - it would be nice.

The code is there - it sounds easy to make a plugin.

Anybody?
BTW, when doing this - please respect Adaxa credits on code and if possible on commit history - I have used hg convert to clone the whole svn history from a folder.

Carlos Ruiz

Carlos,

Can we get the code to check whether it will be used for resetting or clearing client test data and make a plugin out of it?

Thanks,
Pritesh

Hi, as I understand code is on adempiere - you can search for WDelete, VDelete, DeleteEntitiesModel and their corresponding migration scripts.

Hi all,
I have created a first version at
https://bitbucket.org/a42niem/idempiere-deleteentities
which is working for iDempiere 2.1 on swing or zk.

Currently you have to create the menu entry yourself as a form calling
"org.compiere.apps.form.VDelete".

The migration scripts may work, a 2pack is to come.

You can delete the bd and import again with a .dmp file located on source files, in my case I used postgres and with the console we can delete, create and import from seed directory.

To avoid this problem in the future, I recommend that you work with a repository and manager versions, personally mercurial use with bitbucket.
Regards.
