AI Agent for Automation in iDempiere

I’d like to introduce a short video Example demonstrating how iDempiere can be integrated using the n8n automation tool.
In the video, the user interacts with the n8n chat trigger to retrieve information about customers and their spending.
The n8n workflow integrates with an AI Agent to handle tasks such as interacting with the database and executing queries.

Additionally, n8n enables many other capabilities without the need to write code directly inside iDempiere — for example:

• User guidance or interactive help

• Synchronizing orders from e-commerce platforms

• Syncing inventory data to e-commerce systems

• Scanning invoices and automatically generating draft invoice payments in ERP

• Sending post-sale surveys,  

•  ...

We would prefer a solution that goes through the idempiere-rest api instead of going direct to the DB

I'm looking at building such an MCP server for idempiere-rest api, is the AI Agent a simpler and more elegant path ?

This is just a solution I’d like to introduce to the community — it doesn’t touch the iDempiere core.

There are many open-source projects around the world, and integrating a tool like this seems reasonable and can significantly reduce development effort.

I’m currently developing and using an ecosystem that includes POS, CRM, ERP, Automated Marketing, and BI for businesses, with iDempiere as the ERP component.
In this context, iDempiere should be open and extensible to integrate with a broader ecosystem.
We should move toward combining multiple tools to enhance execution and flexibility.

Perhaps I'm not clear in my previous email. I'm not saying add anything to the iDempiere core for this. What I means is instead of going direct 

to the iDempiere database, the AI Agent should go through the official idempiere-rest api (https://hengsin.github.io/idempiere-rest-swagger-ui/) instead.
