VIES VAT validation

Hi community,

I'd like to ask if anyone has a working plugin/solution for Business Partner Validation, e.g. by using the VIES VAT validation API? 

Before, we were using a validation through window using an URL: http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/viesquer.do?ms=SK&iso=SK&vat="+taxID+"&BtnSubmitVat=Verify   - but this does not work anymore, and the only alternative I've found was through their rest API, e.g. https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/rest-api/ms/SK/vat/20204884377

It would be really helpful if anyone could share their solution for this.

We just released a plug-in that validates the VAT number using the VIES API.

You can access the documentation on the wiki page and find the source code here.

We highly appreciate any feedback, testing, or suggestions for improvement.
