Will migration scripts generated by iDempiere in the tmp folder in ubuntu will get deleted automatically if not backed up on a daily basis?

Does this nonsense can happen if there is two instance of iDempiere exist in same machine and is switched to each other ?

Is there any way to regenerate the migration scripts ?

Hi,

/tmp is usually cleared at boot time.

See for example
https://askubuntu.com/questions/20783/how-is-the-tmp-directory-cleaned-up

In your case I would say it depends on what "switch to other instance"
means.

Hi Shiju,

Ubuntu cleans tmp folder on reboot.

That's enough for my needs in my laptop.

On servers, as reboots are so infrequent, I usually install tmpreaper to clean tmp periodically.

Ok ... if tmp folders get automatically cleared by operating systems then it is not nice or good idea to write migration script there as we need to preserve them ?

"switch to other instance" means there is two separate idempiere src folders and will keep switching eclipse workspaces from one src folder to the other.
