Errors after updating zk framework to version 6 [ADempiere]

Hi guys,

i saw that iDempiere is using a zk framework version >6. Since my boss wants me to develop features for adempiere as well as for idempiere, we tought it would be a good idea to update adempieres zk framework too. We changed some jars and fixed all upcoming errors. Now when i try to start the server, all i get is a bunch of fancy errors (console log: http://pastebin.com/xceVHwP4 ). I would like to know if you guys discovered similar errors when updating idempieres zk framework and if so how you fixed them.

Hi again,
i fixed the first bunch of occurring errors and now i am able to start the webui again. Also i am able to open windows again but in some windows, i get an error if i open them e. g. the System Registration or the Payroll Concept Catalog. The error looks like this:


Unfortunately the console log does not show the source of the error. It says:

Hi Jan,

Adempiere 3.8 has moved to zk 7 too. Why are you not asking in them ? I think it's Michael McKay's works.

Armen, Jan's question is from 2 years ago  :-)   jan-2013

iDempiere zk7 branch has been moved to zk7 (with many other things moving ahead) since 2013-12-15

Michael McKay's work started on jun-2014 and is partially based on iDempiere zk7 branch as you can check message in ADEMPIERE-294 at:

sorry ... no public trackers for Adempiere available - they some times (very sporadically) give credits in invisible private JIRA tracker, but public commit messages are empty from any credit atttribution.

Not saying that your advice to ask McKay is not good - just that your message sounded a little misleading about the history of *mpiere evolving.
