adempiere - iDempiere license info.

Hello,
I just wanted to know if an eventual license change is planed for  adempiere - iDempiere
such as mit or BSD license or there will never be a way to have such license????
Could you also please tell me if those ( adempiere - iDempiere )
are he same softwareS or different softwares?

No new license can be planned for source forks because most of the base code at least interface code still belongs to the Compiere project of 2006 (forking point) i.e. Copright Jorg Janke, GPLv2.0.
iDempiere is a fork of ADempiere 3.6.1 to adopt a new approach in enterprise development, OSGi based on Eclipse Equinox and other vast changes as stated in its wiki. ADempiere has not much significant change. Feel free to rebut this.
