Dot matrix printer

Hi dear,

iI have a small issue in printing on dot matrix printer, exactly epson lq 680 pro, i used for that a jasper report created from jasper studio Tibco, i set the diemention of the report and the place of fields base on the dot matrix printer paper size, the problem that when i generate the PDF report from idempiere and try to print it, the data rotate on the dot matrix printer, could any one have an idea or have already worked on that, thank you

Printing to dot matrix from web pdf is quite tricky. It's always trial and error for me personally especially if using custom paper size. You can try:

• Make sure the orientation of your jasper report is correct (portrait/landscape).
• Try printing from pdf reader (Adobe Reader) instead of from browser to see if it's related to web's pdf renderer / web specific settings.
• Try printing from different web browsers. You might get different result from Chrome and Firefox.
  
• Try changing the printer driver. If your paper size is Letter or A4 you might want to try Epson  ESC/P 9pin V4 Class Driver.
• Try changing Printing Quality in Printing Preferences. Sometimes you just need to choose the correct dpi for it to be able to print correctly.
  

For reference I use Epson LX300 II. Hope it helps.
